Pharmacists A pharmacist with specialized training in home infusion therapy helps to determine the appropriateness of therapy. The pharmacist will monitor and evaluate drug interactions, labs, and clinical progress throughout the course of treatment.
Pharmacy Technicians Skilled pharmacy technicians prepare supplies under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. They prepare and package mediations to be delivered to the patient. When necessary, medications are prepared in a sterile environment and shipped directly to the patient's home on the same day.
Registered Dieticians A dietician will assess the nutritional needs of patients and help to develop a nutritional program that works at home. They also counsel patients and evaluate the results of therapy.
Registered Nurse Case Managers Nurse case managers will coordinate and facilitate the services needed to optimize home therapy. They also provide patients with initial and ongoing education and support.
Reimbursement Specialists Financial aspects of home infusion therapy are handled by specialists with experience in insurance and home infusion reimbursement.
Customer Service Specialists Supply orders and infusion questions are managed by customer service specialists available to help with problems that may arise during home infusion.
