Quincy Valley Medical Center (QVMC) is a public, not-for-profit, corporation which exists to meet the healthcare needs of all residents and visitors of Quincy, Washington and the surrounding area. To meet these needs, Quincy Valley Medical Center will provide the highest quality of primary acute and long-term care services.

SageView Family Care Clinic: Located at the front entrance of Quincy Valley Medical Center, SageView Clinic provides comprehensive care to every member of your family. Our highly qualified staff is ready to assist you and your family with all your heath care needs.
Surgical Services: SageView Family Care Clinic offers a wide scope of minimally invasive surgery, diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy, laparoscopic surgery and a variety of basic gynecologic and urologic procedures.
SageView Family Care Clinic is also proud to offer Dr. Gaston Cornu-Labat’s services for any minimally invasive, general surgical needs you may have, including Endoscopy.

Most services are provided from within the main hospital facility however a few are located outside of the facility and on located in down town Quincy.
People Our Medical Staff is comprised of practitioners from diverse fields of training and expertise. Each member of our Medical Staff brings a unique specialty to the our community and we take pride in the fact that our practitioners maintain the highest level of patient care with the compassion, quality and efficiency that you would expect.

Peter Himmel, MD, Chief of the Medical Staff at QVMC. Dr. Peter Himmel graduated with honors from the University of Northern Colorado in 1975 with BS in Biology/ Chemistry. Upon graduating he attended Medical School at the University of Colorado from 1975-1979.
Subsequent training involved an internship at Michigan State University; residency in General Surgery at the State University of New York/Buffalo; and a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Southern Illinois University in Springfield.
Gaston Cornu-Labat, MD In December 1991, Dr. Cornu-Labat graduated from the University of Buenos Aires as a medical doctor. He went on for two years of post-graduate training in Surgery at public hospitals in Buenos Aires.
In 1994 he moved to Youngstown, OH where he did all of his Surgery training at Western Reserve Health Care (Forum Health). Dr. Cornu-Labat remained in Youngstown, OH until 2001 at which time he participated in a fellowship at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA, to specialize in surgery of the liver, biliary tract and pancreas. In November of 2002 started his practice at a rural community in the Nebraska panhandle. In 2007, Dr. Cornu-Labat relocated to Quincy to restart our surgery programs.
Mary Klingner, MD Dr. Klingner was born in Quincy Illinois and has a BS in Biology with honors at University of Missouri in 1994. She received her MD from the University of Missouri, Cum Laude in 1998 and worked her way through college and medical school as a radio personality/ DJ. Dr. Klingner completed her residency in family practice at Southern Illinois University (also where our Dr Himmel trained) and finished in 2001. She practiced in Quincy, IL prior to moving to WA in 2003 to teach residents and medical students at a UW affiliated family practice residency program. Prior to coming to QVMC, Dr. Klingner worked at Central Washington Hospital’s Women’s Health Center. Her medical interests are Diabetes, Women’s Health and Occupational Medicine. Dr Klingner’s plan for the Clinic is to provide accessible and meticulous care to the families of our community in a friendly and comfortable professional environment so that individuals can improve and maximize their own health through her guidance.
Charlene Brush, ARNP After working for several years as an accountant for her husband, Donavin’s, marine contracting business, she determined to answer a call to human services by returning to Seattle University in 2005. She completed the highly competitive and prestigious Advanced Practice Nursing Immersion Program in 2007 through the Family Nurse Practitioner track, with an emphasis on rural health care. Charlene chose Quincy Valley Medical Center’s SageView Family Care to begin her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner because of the emphasis on quality care, compassion, and accountability she found here. She also desired to relocate her husband and young son, David, to the gentler pace and wide-open spaces of rural Washington. She is excited about participating in the expansion of services offered by the clinic and working with Dr. Klingner to reintroduce superior family and urgent care to the Quincy Valley through the clinic. She is board certified for family practice by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Charlene’s research focus has been on childhood nutrition for the prevention of chronic disease in adults, especially through increased consumption of fruits and vegetables. She has been a member of the Washington Rural Health Association since 2002 and is also a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Rhonda Ramm, MN, ARNP, FNP, BSN Born and raised in Soap Lake, Rhonda is happy to make Grant County home for herself and her four children. In 2007, while going to school to receive her Master’s in Nursing, Rhonda came to the Quincy Valley Medical Center to work as an Emergency/Acute care charge nurse and to complete her Family Internship with SageView physician Dr. Mary Klingner. In 2008, after graduating Suma Cum Laude and being named Master Nursing Student of the Year at Washington State University College of Nursing in Spokane, we are happy to welcome Rhonda back to QVMC as our newest nurse practitioner at SageView Family Care Clinic. Rhonda began her duties at SageView Family Care on September 15, 2008. Rhonda is happy to be in Quincy working with the physicians at QVMC and assisting our community members. She has experience in mental health, adult care, internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, dermatology, family medicine and OB/Gynecology.
